THA D.O.P. (DECLARATION OF PEACE)

The Declaration of Peace is Hip Hop's moralistic standard-
REMEMBER THE DAYS OF PEACE IN HIPHOP!!!! Classic Hip Hop held Consciousness UP over ALL!! Knowledge was Righteous and Hip Hop was Golden!
Tha D.O.P. is our reclaiming of those principles-
My previous post has a video outlining the Need for and Development of the D.O.P., after checking that click on and download your own Hi-Res copy of the D.O.P. Distribute it-
Be Proud of your Principles! Use this Document to defend Hiphop in the World!

simple lesson-

Peace & Greetings-
One of the first lessons of the "I am Hiphop" philosophy is the use and treatment of the word "hip-hop".
Hiphop is our nation, our Kulture. It is a real thing, a noun in the American English language. It should be respected with Upper Case status. Hiphop as a capitalized single word denotes our unique cultural awareness, our sight, our vision. Hiphop is the thing that is common to all Writers, Emcees, Deejays and Breakers. It is also the "Common Sense" that is used and developed by all Hustlers, Street Preachers and Gangsters.
The visual expression of these elements is known in the Temple as Hip Hop. When a "Hiphoppa" displays the skills and talents of his people, his culture, he performs Hip Hop.
Now as it (Hip Hop) is known to the non Hiphop world, i.e. rap music, high fashion clothing trends, jingles for commercials, we see as hip-hop. For we cannot deny that the media and economic magicians see the immense value in our creations and as such seek to own and co-opt what we manifest. Not what we own, or we create, what we Manifest. This was stolen the day Hip Hop was shown to the world (see the story of "Rapper's Delight"). This is important. hip-hop has existed since Hip Hop was first shown to the world! We'll make that connection later.

Each Hiphoppa is free to define their own Hiphop reality. The Temple isn't here to make your distinction. But make no mistake, we do make a distinction. And you will know a Templist in the way she or he speaks and carries their self. I find these distinctions to be true, as true as the distinction my Mind naturally made when I was just 13, categorizing violent expressions of rap music as "Rappin" and knowledge droppin raps as "Hip Hop" to my Grandmother, so she wouldn't dare lump real Emcees like Native Tongues Posse together with the studio gangsters that were misreppin' for a check!
Some people accuse this kind of behavior as Hiphop elitist behavior, an attempt to define the undefinable. I say that those that don't give a shit about your culture are defining you everyday! Why should MTV define what my Hiphop is? The Radio? Rappers? The violent drama between Record Companies? This is what makes Hiphop what it is? Bullshit-
I have found in my 6 years with the Temple that many are offended by our attempts at reclaiming Hiphop, if you are truly that opposed to our efforts I say do better. Make something real and better that puts Hiphop Kulture first, not African-American culture or gangster culture or even American culture. Hip Hop Kulture.
And if you don't agree with the Temple, find your own way. Hiphop has enough divisions, pointless infighting is useless. One of our core principles is no bad blood between Hiphoppas. Using our sight and vision to find common ground in all places. That's what Hiphoppas do. I will not honor pointless arguments over details. This place is for ideas to be shared that are inline with the Temple, we've discussed the need for a Hiphop Preservation Society for decades. This is the Call. The Teacha KRS ONE has put his career and reputation on the line to defend and propagate Hiphop for the future, if you can't find peace and friendship here as a Hiphoppa I wish you the best on your search.

Suggested Studies-

PEACE!-
There are numerous schools of thought on Hip Hop kulture. The Temple takes from all descriptions of Hiphop and projects an idea that keeps the principles of Hiphop first in its overstanding. This Temple is a preservation Society, Hiphop is our only loyalty! The writings and teachings we will examine in this post look past music and fashion to see an underlying experience that all Hiphoppas share-
Our First Instrument, "The Gospel of Hip Hop" is deep in its overstanding of Hip Hop; past, present, and future. This is required knowledge for all serious Temple members-
and we will reach that, be sure, but first I want to suggest a study from the Abbott of the Wu-Tang Clan, the RZA.
The Wu possess a wisdom that is a reflection of the attitude and spirituality of many Undaground Hiphoppas worldwide. Their first manual was an encyclopedia of Wu attitude and Philosophy. However, the Wu and their ideals are very much rooted in Supreme Mathematics, and the Nation of 5%'s. again, more on that later.
The RZA's second collection of writings, also released this past Hip Hop History Month, is a much more personal look at Wisdom and Knowledge. The Tao of Wu, written as parable with a nod to eastern philosophy, is broken down in "pillars" of learning. We see the RZA's personal induction into Mathematics and his own take on it, the shaping and founding of one of Hip Hop's most core and influential groups and personalities is also laid bare in these writings. Hiphoppas of all Ages will find a personal connection with this book, and many of the RZA's own overstandings and realizations are in line with the Principles of the Temple of Hiphop. I am in the middle of studying these writings myself and have passed them on to my own (Geographical) Hiphop community. I urge all students of Hiphop to pick up a copy and digest the material. Over time, we will connect the lessons of all of Hip Hop's sages with the knowledge in the Temple. Here in this post I will come back time to time to suggest new readings and learning to widen the view of Hiphop Kulture and have a deeper overstanding of our time and place. Until later postings the following writings should be acquired and digested to expand your understanding and vocabulary, as I will be expounding on occult subjects, most readers will want to be somewhat versed in the more esoteric elements of Hiphop Kulture.

Welcome to ALL TEMPLE!

PEACE & GREETINGS!!
Know This, The Temple of Hiphop is alive and working in the world-
My name is Mr.Gone, West Coast Templist with the Temple of Hiphop and committed undaground Hiphoppa since 1993. I have been inspired to create this place of study and transmission for the "Attuned Hiphoppa", someone who sees past the commercialized exploits of "hip-hop" and sees a documented and founded culture of "Hiphop", something beyond entertainment.
This past 'Hip Hop History Month' saw the release of the much anticipated Gospel of Hiphop; The First Instrument. Much more than just the spiritual musings of the Teacha, KRS ONE, the Gospel is word of the Temple, also much more than someone's narrow definition of a "hip-hop religion", the Temple of Hiphop seeks to study and research Hiphop's spirit, the underlying essence that connects ALL HIPHOPPAS, from emcees to deejays and how they link to graffiti artists (writers),breakdancers (breakers) and beyond.
How and Why is it that Graffiti and Rappin' are taken to be cut from the same cloth? Were the first Rappers also Writers? Did the first Graffiti Artists cut and scratch on the turntables?
Anyone truly involved with any of Hip Hop's elements can say that there is something real and defining about the way you talk, walk and live! when you call your self a "Hiphoppa".
Why is that?
The "I AM HIPHOP" philosophy and the Gospel of Hiphop are the first real attempts at answering these questions from inside Hip Hop, true knowledge of the real reasons for Hip Hop and its creation, its History and Purpose. We will be examining the teachings involved with the Temple of Hiphop, and the "I AM HIPHOP" philosophy, but also we will look 360 degrees in Hiphop and see the other groups and philosophies involved in this culture and nation.
Welcome, Peace-
